Don't you think we ought to know by now?
Don't you think we should've learned somehow?
-----
Here's to the risk I took and I would never look back on.
This big boy that still acts like a kid and whines when he doesn't get what he wants.
The one that frowns, has a bad temper, and isn't easy to convince.
He made my life a little different, he taught me that nothing gets thrown to you easy.
He told me to never make an intense promise, just in case something goes wrong and that promise breaks you to the core when you've once swore to never hurt another.
He cracks up the lamest, silliest, dumbest, asdfghjkl-est jokes just to see me smile once on a bad day.
He made an effort to stay up with me every night even though it costed him horrid eye bags.
He never once complained when I tend to be the first one to fall asleep every night, leaving him waiting by the phone for just a text, and went to bed without a goodnight message but still being the first one to text me the next day.
He would wait and try his best to see me smirk when I had a bad day and cursed at every living being, and that one smirk would light up his baby face.
He willingly wanted to get to know pretty much every one of my friends, and bonded with them just like I always wanted him to.
He never fails to make my day, no matter how much I don't show it.
He's no creative boy that's good at wrapping gifts, but like you said, it's the thought that counts.
So darling,
Do you remember the times when i would whine and start jumping up at down when you said you were tired and you wanted to turn in early? We both stayed up til late anyway.
Do you remember how much i like to poke you and your friend would say our hormones were raging?
Yeah, that was so totally fun.
Do you remember what we cried about? About being priorities and not options.
& I hope that if one day, we didn't work out,
these little things wouldn't be a regret or a waste of time to any of us.
Because to me, these could and will be the happiest days I've spent.
And I want them to be yours too.
Jia Wei,
I love you too, little boy.
That's something you should know.
To the cutest little boy that existed in my life, don't ever change.
Yours truly.
